  • NEW BRUNSWICK – The Rutgers men’s heavyweight varsity eight team defeated Syracuse to win the Ten Eyck Cup on Saturday, April 10, on the Raritan River.

    The varsity team of Christopher Graves (Northfield, NJ), Todd Gentry (Sicklerville, NJ), Nathan Carter (Springfield, VA), Collin Jesberger (Chalfont, PA), Michael Dori (West Windsor, NJ), Fred Bidrawn (Mt. Holly, NJ), Samuel Stitt (McLean, VA), James Green (Erdenheim, PA) and Ned Delguercio (Media, PA) finished with a very impressive time of 5:50.5, beating Syracuse’s 5:53.9 .

    Rutgers’ second varsity eight (6:09.5) also beat Syracuse (6:10.4), while the Rutgers freshman boat (6:29.4) came up short against Syracuse (6:04.1) in the last race of the day.
