PISCATAWAY, N.J. (March 27, 2014) – The Rutgers rowing team opens its season on Friday, March 28 against Michigan State and Boston University on the Raritan River. The race marks the first of three this spring to be held on the Raritan River in New Brunswick, N.J.
The event kicks off a six-race slate for the Scarlet Knights leading up to the inaugural American Athletic Conference Championships on May 18 in West Windsor, N.J.
Michigan State, future conference opponent, is the first Big Ten school to race against Rutgers in New Brunswick, N.J.
RU closed its spring break on Saturday, March 22 with a scrimmage at Villanova, winning all four, four-minute pieces on the Upper Schuylkill River in the team’s final preparations before its season-opener.
