WEST WINDSOR, N.J. (Nov. 6, 2013) – The Rutgers rowing team had five boats race in the Collegiate Small Boats Regatta on Sunday, Nov. 3 in West Windsor, N.J.
The combo of sophomores Emily Goodman (Princeton, N.J.) and Veronica DeSalvo (Plymouth, Minn.) clocked in the best time of the day among RU’s collegiate twos, finishing in third place in the Women’s Collegiate 2X D Final with a time of 8:18.72.
Senior Emilia Topp (Vienna, Va.) and junior Veronica Leach (Bowie, Md.) earned the best finish of the competition for the Scarlet Knights, earning a second-place spot by racing a time of 8:37.40.
Senior duo Katie Bakaj (Longport, N.J.) and Stef Ford (Nutley, N.J.) recorded a time of 8:33.79 en route to a fifth-place finish in the Women’s Collegiate 2 D Final.
Senior Raelyn Loiselle (Tampa, Fla.) finished fifth in the Women’s Collegiate 1X D final, notching a time of 9:25.67.
Senior Gabriella Oliveria (Long Island City, N.Y.) and sophomore Caitlin Lavery (Lawrenceville, N.J.) rounded out the day of competition for RU, finishing third in the Women’s Collegiate 2X G Final with a time of 9:13.03.
Rutgers returns to New Brunswick to compete in the Rutgers Classic on Saturday, Nov. 9 on the Raritan River.
