West Windsor, N.J. (March 21, 2013) - The Rutgers rowing team starts its spring season vs. Villanova on Saturday, March 23 at Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J.

The regatta will be an all-day event.

The Scarlet Knights hope to build on its sixth-place finish at the BIG EAST Championship last season. Katherine Geithman was named to the First Team All-BIG EAST, while Katie Quinn was placed on the second team.

 Villanova started off it's spring 2013 rowing campaign at the Rollins Invitational Spring Break Race in Lake Maitland, Fla. The Wildcats' Varsity 8+ team notched a fourth-place finish with a time of 6:58.80, beating out the host team Rollins. In the JV 8+ the Wildcats tipped the finish line at 7:03.00, also earning the fourth-place spot.
