PISCATAWAY, N.J. (July 19, 2012) - Rutgers rowing unveiled the 2013 schedule, head coach Max Borghard announced Thursday. Rutgers will compete in four New Jersey events this season.
In preparation for the spring season, the Scarlet Knights will be competing in four events in the fall. Two of those events will be in New Jersey.
RU will open up its fall season on Saturday, Oct. 13, competing at Navy Day located in Philadelphia, Pa.
The Scarlet Knights return to the water Sunday, Oct. 28, as they head to Princeton, N.J. to compete in the Princeton Chase.
RU hosts the Rutgers Classic on Saturday, Nov. 3 before heading to Boston, Mass. to compete in the Foot of the Charles.
Prior to the season opener, the Scarlet Knights will scrimmage Mercer on Saturday, March 23 in West Windsor, N.J.
RU opens up the spring season at the Murphy Cup in Philadelphia, Pa., on Saturday, March 30. Rutgers heads to Kingston, R.I. on April 6 to face URI. The Scarlet Knights then head to Camden, N.J. to participate in the Knecht Cup, a two-day event taking place April 13-14.
The Scarlet Knights hit the road on April 20 to compete against St. Joseph's and Navy in Philadelphia, Pa. RU heads home to host George Mason on April 27.Rutgers is back in Camden, N.J. racing in the Eastern Sprints on Sunday, May 5.
RU will conclude its spring season at the BIG EAST Regatta on May 19 in West Windsor, N.J. The NCAA Rowing Championships will be held May 31-June 2 in Indianapolis, Ind.
