Philadelphia, Pa. (Aug. 9, 2011) – Rutgers coxswain Ellie Kleiman (Wyoming, Ohio) trained with the Vesper Under 23 USRowing Development Camp in Philadelphia over the summer.

Over the weekend at the 129^th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, the 2012 graduate led her eight to gold medals in the Under 23 W’s Eight and Women’s Eight dash. Kleiman also guided her squad to a silver medal in the women’s champ eight.

Kleiman also coxed the Vesper women’s eight to a gold medal in the Senior W’s Eight at the USRowing Club Nationals on July 16, beating the USRowing Pre-Elite Team.

USRowing Under 23 camps are part of the National Team development and feeder system. 

Kleiman - a linguistics major, with a minor in psychology – started her coxing career with the Cincinnati Juniors Rowing Club.
