Rutgers Races No. 12 Cornell and Penn in Ithaca
Ithaca, N.Y. (April 19, 2011) - Rutgers rowing traveled to Ithaca, N.Y. to race Cornell and Penn for the Raritan Cup and Class of '89 Plate. Cornell kept both the Cup and the Plate, winning the varsity eight and team points, respectively.
Cornell's 1V8 clocked in at 6:29.38, followed by Penn (6:33.64) and Rutgers at 6:46.75.
In the 2V8, Cornell won in 6:39.26, followed by Penn (6:45.42) and Rutgers (7:04.51).
Penn won the V4 in 7:23.85, followed by Cornell in 7:31.25 and Rutgers with a time of 8:15.24.
The finishing order in the 3V8 was: Cornell 7:05.37, Penn 7:12.2, Rutgers 7:45.46.
Rutgers returns to the water Sunday, May 1, for the BIG EAST Championship.
