PISCATAWAY, NJ - The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) football playoff games scheduled to be played at Rutgers Stadium on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8, 2002, will not be played at the University’s facility, due to the resulting conditions from Thursday’s snowstorm.

Following discussions on Friday morning with NJSIAA and Rutgers University officials, it was agreed that the appropriate conditions to stage four high school championship games could not be achieved, based on the significant snowfall in the Piscataway area.
The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and the NJSIAA will continue to work toward staging numerous NJSIAA championships at Rutgers.
