  • PISCATAWAY, NJ - Members of the Rutgers Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) take part in the annual Holiday Party at the Edison Head Start program. Each child who attended the party was given a present and a book by Rutgers student-athletes and administrators.

The SAAC coordinated its annual Holiday Toy Drive from December 6-18, and collected over 300 toys, as well as monetary donations, to be used at holiday parties at three Head Start programs in Middlesex County.

Student-athletes, coaches, members of the Athletic Department staff, and Scarlet Knight fans all pitched in by generously contributing to the Toy Drive. Members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) collected toys donated by fans at the Rutgers vs. Clemson women’s basketball game, and the Rutgers vs. Norfolk State men’s basketball game, on December 18.
