Women’s Cross Country Named All-Academic By USTFCCA

  • PISCATAWAY, N.J.  (February 19, 2014) – The Rutgers women’s cross country team was honored by the USTFCCCA by earning Division I All-Academic Cross Country status.

    To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.

    The Scarlet Knights posted a 3.22 cumulative GPA and were among the seven teams in the American Athletic Conference represented on the list. 

    Members of the 2013 team included:

    Senior Rashmi Singh (Flemington, N.J.) -  major: English

    Junior Allison Payenski (Whitehouse Station, N.J.) – major: biological sciences

    Junior Felicia O’Donnell (Franklinville, N.J.)  - major: mathematics

    Sophomore Paige Senatore (Delsea, N.J.) – major: undeclared

    Freshman Kaitlyn Bedard (Ringoes, N.J.) – major: undeclared

    Freshman Maria Calazans  (Watchung, N.J.) – major: undeclared

    Freshman Nisa Cicitta (Glen Gardner, N.J.)   - major: undeclared

    The Rutgers women’s cross country team placed 16th overall at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
