BETHLEHEM, Pa. (November 15, 2013) -- The Rutgers women’s cross country team finished in 16th place at the 2013 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals hosted by Lehigh on Friday afternoon.
Villanova captured the regional title with 31 points followed Georgetown in second with 35 points and Penn State in third with 92 points. Rutgers garnered 507 points and was paced once again by sophomore Paige Senatore (Delsea, N.J.).
Senatore led Rutgers in a time of 21:26 on the 6K course, placing 47th overall in the regional.
Junior Allison Payenski (Whitehouse Station, N.J.) finished in a time of 22:01 for 89th place with freshman Kaitlyn Bedard (Ringoes, N.J.) taking 112th with her time of 22:20 and senior Rashmi Singh (Flemington, N.J.) clocking in at 22:23 for 114th.
Also racing for the Scarlet Knights were junior Felicia O’Donnell (Franklinville, N.J.) in 145th (23:15), freshman Maria Calazans (Watchung, N.J.) in 172nd (24:08) and freshman Nisa Cicitta (Glen Gardner, N.J.) in 183rd (24:32).
