Rutgers Athletics Announces Rutgers Day Schedule of Events

  • PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 17, 2013) – Fans can enjoy an action-packed day of athletic events on Rutgers Day Saturday, April 27 in New Brunswick and Piscataway. Highlighted by the annual Scarlet-White game at High Point Solutions Stadium, which all fans are encouraged to make a donation to the Hurricane Sandy Relief efforts, the day’s athletic events begin at 9 a.m.

    Below is the complete athletics itinerary for Rutgers Day:

    9:00 AM – 11:00 AM      Rowing vs. George Mason/Holy Cross
    10:00 AM – 3:00 PM      Equipment Showcase (Koko Koral)
    10:00 AM – 12:00 PM     SAAC Mini Combine (F Fields)
    10:00 AM – 12:15 PM     SAAC North Plaza Performances/Games
    10:00 AM – 2:00 PM      SAAC Face Painting (Athlete’s Glen)
    10:00 AM – 12:00 PM     Field Hockey Alumni Game (Bauer Complex)
    11:00 AM – 2:30 PM      Kids’ Zone (Athlete’s Glen)
    11:00 AM – 12:00 PM     Cheer/Dance Clinic
    11:00 AM – 1:00 PM      Rutgers Men’s Soccer vs. FDU (RAC Fields)
    11:00 AM                        Gates Open at High Point Solutions Stadium
    12:00 PM – 12:45 PM     Believe Bowl III - Alumni Flag Football Game (Stadium-Field)
    12:00 PM – 4:00 PM      Field Hockey Friendzy Tournament (Bauer Complex)
    1:00 PM – 2:00 PM       Cheer/Dance/Band Performance (North Plaza)
    1:15 PM – 2:00 PM        Football NFL/Alumni Autograph Session (South Concourse)
    3:00 PM – 6:00 PM       Spring football game and post-game autograph session on the field
    7:00 PM                         Men’s Lacrosse vs. Georgetown (Yurcak Field)

    Equipment Showcase – Fans will have the opportunity to pick up, try on, and get a feel for the equipment our student-athletes use during competition.

    Mini Combine – Kids can participate in the same events as potential NFL players preparing for the draft to see how they stack up to the most elite college football players.

    Kids’ Zone – Music, rides, games, temporary tattoos and face painting, all FREE.

    NFL/Alumni Autograph Session – 12 former Scarlet Knights, including 8 current NFL players, will be signing autographs inside the stadium after the alumni flag football.

    Believe Bowl III: Alumni Flag Football Game – Former Scarlet Knight Football players will participate in a friendly flag football game at High Point Solutions Stadium.

    DJ – There will be a DJ on the North Plaza.

    Spring Game/Autograph Session – The Scarlet-White Spring Football Game will be followed by a one hour autograph session with the current Scarlet Knights.
