March-22-03 Rutgers Finishes 37th at NCAA Women’s Swimming Championships
AUBURN, AL - The Rutgers University women’s swimming team finished 37th, with seven points, at the 2003 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Martin Aquatics Center in Auburn, AL. Three RU swimmers competed on the final day of the three-day event. In all, four Scarlet Knights qualified for NCAAs.

March-21-03 Rutgers Defeats St. Joseph's, 12-5, For Fourth-Straight Win
PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Rutgers women’s lacrosse team surged out to an early five-goal lead and never looked back en route to a 12-5 victory over St. Joseph’s University Friday night at Finnesey Field. With the win, the Scarlet Knights, under the direction of first-year head coach Laura Brand, win their fourth straight game, improving to 4-1 overall for the season.

AUBURN, AL -- Three Rutgers swimmers competed in the opening day of the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday, March 20, at the Martin Aquatics Center.

March-20-03 Rutgers-Lafayette Women’s Tennis Match Postponed
BOCA RATON, FL – The Rutgers-Lafayette women’s tennis match, set for Thursday at 9 a.m., has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts. A make-up date has yet to be scheduled. The schools were originally scheduled to meet on Sunday, however inclement weather forced the postponement to Thursday.

March-20-03 Khan, Roy Remain Alive After First Day at Wrestling Nationals
KANSAS CITY, MO – Two of four wrestlers from the Rutgers wrestling team remain active after day one of the 2003 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. RU sent four wrestlers to nationals, with two bowing out on the first day. All four lost their opening round matches.

March-19-03 RU Women’s Laxer Curiale Recognized by Inside Lacrosse
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers women’s lacrosse junior Cristina Curiale (Summit, NJ) was named an Inside Lacrosse Player of the Week honorable mention. Danielle Hensil of No. 12 Old Dominion was named the player of the week, while Amy Appelt of No. 4 Virginia, Sarah Robinson of No. 3 Georgetown and Acacia Walker of top-ranked Maryland joined Curiale as honorable mentions.

March-19-03 11 RU Gymnasts Named to EAGL All-Academic Team
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers women’s gymnastics team had 11 of its members selected to the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) All-Academic Team, the league announced Wednesday. In order to be named to the EAGL All-Academic team, student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.00 or higher in the two previous semesters.
