PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers junior Carli Lloyd (Delran, NJ) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Women’s Soccer All-America Third Team.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Junior Cappie Pondexter scored 23 points and senior Shalicia Hurns added 12 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead the 25th-ranked Rutgers women’s basketball team past No. 19 TCU, 73-65, Sunday afternoon at thr RAC. The victory snaps a four-game losing streak for the Scarlet Knights (4-4) and gives TCU (6-1)its first loss of the season.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. --  Rutgers limited center Judson Wallace to just five points and made four key throws down the stretch to hold off Princeton 51-49 on Saturday to improve to 5-1 in front of a season-high crowd of 6,102 at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.

KNOXVILLE, TN – The No. 25 Scarlet Knights (3-4) put a major scare into No. 2/2 Tennessee (4-0), leading with less than seven minutes to play in the game, but weren’t able to hold on in a 59-49 loss in Knoxville Dec. 11.

December-10-03 Rutgers Basketball Kids’ Night and Kids’ Day Rescheduled
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers Basketball Kids’ Night and Kids’ Day have been rescheduled to Saturday, December 20, 2003 for the Rutgers Men’s vs. Long Island University game at 7:30pm, and Sunday, December 28, 2003 for the Rutgers Women’s vs. Old Dominion game at 3:00pm. The original Kids’ Day and Kids’ Night scheduled for December 6th were cancelled due to the snowstorm in the area.

December-10-03 Rutgers Men’s Basketball Game Against Monmouth Rescheduled
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Dec. 6 men’s basketball game between Rutgers and Monmouth that was postponed due to weather conditions has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 13. The game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Senior defensive end Raheem Orr (Elizabeth, NJ) and senior cornerback Nate Jones (Scotch Plains, NJ) of the Rutgers football team earned All-BIG EAST honors today, as announced by the league office. Orr was named a first team defensive end, while Jones earned recognition as a second team kick returner.
