January-17-04 Swimming and Diving Sweeps Seton Hall and St. John's
PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Rutgers men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams each garnered a pair of BIG EAST victories with dominating wins over St. John’s and Seton Hall on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Sonny Werblin Center. The men (6-0, 4-0 BIG EAST) defeated the Pirates 198-106 and the Red Storm 175-107, while the women (8-0, 5-0 BIG EAST) were victorious over Seton Hall 187-112 and St. John’s 174-107.

January-17-04 Men Finish Third, Women Take 12th at US Coaches Association Track Meet
STATE COLLEGE, PA – Led by first-place finishes from Anthony Butler (Pittsgove, NJ) in the high jump and Rowan Clarke (Teaneck, NJ) in the triple jump, the men's indoor track and field team claimed third place at the 15-team US Coaches Association Track Meet, held today at Penn State University. The women, meanwhile, finished 12th.

FAIRFIELD, CT – An undermanned Rutgers wrestling team, which was without two of its starters, pulled out a 21-19 victory over Sacred Heart on Thursday night in Fairfield, CT. With the win, the Scarlet Knights even their dual meet record at 2-2.

January-13-04 Four to be Inducted Into Olympic Sports Hall of Fame
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers University Director of Athletics Robert E. Mulcahy has announced the addition of four members to the Olympic Sports Hall of Fame. The 2003 class includes one lacrosse player, one swimmer, one wrestler and one administrator. The quartet spans a period in Rutgers athletics from the early 1930’s to the mid 1990’s.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Freshman guard Marquis Webb scored eight of his 11 points in the final 1:06 of overtime as Rutgers held on to defeat Monmouth, 78-75.
