BOSTON, MA - The Rutgers men’s track team scored 30 points to tie for sixth place at the 83rd IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championship at the Boston University Track and Field Pavilion in Boston, MA, on March 7.

March-07-04 Roy, Medini Lead Rutgers to Fourth-Place Finish at EIWA Championships
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Juniors Andy Roy (Wall, NJ) and Rudy Medini (Colonia, NJ) captured second-place in the 174-pound and 184-pound weight brackets respectively to lead Rutgers to a fourth-place finish in the centennial anniversary of the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Championships on Sunday. Tournament officials honored Rutgers head coach John Sacchi the EIWA Coach of the Year, while awarding the Scarlet Knights the Team Sportsmanship trophy.

HARTFORD, CT - The seventh-seeded Rutgers women’s basketball team (20-10, 10-6 BIG EAST) recovered from a 17-2 deficit to upset second-seeded Notre Dame (19-10, 12-4 BIG EAST) 51-45 in the BIG EAST Championship’s quarterfinal round March 7 at the Hartford Civic Center. With the victory, the Scarlet Knights advance to the tournament semifinals, where they will face No. 6 West Virginia (20-9, 10-6 BIG EAST) Monday, March 8, at 8:00 p.m.
