CHESTNUT HILL, MA – The Rutgers University field hockey season came to an end on Friday, Nov. 7, as the Scarlet Knights were defeated by No. 11 Connecticut, 3-0, in the semifinal round of the BIG EAST Tournament. RU finishes its season with a 7-13 record.

NEW YORK, NY – At a press conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel here today, the BIG EAST Conference announced that five institutions have accepted invitations for membership into the league. Those schools are: University of Cincinnati, DePaul University, University of Louisville, Marquette University, and the University of South Florida. The additions were authorized by a vote of the league's Presidents.
