MIAMI, FL – Junior Jack Egbert (Rutherford, NJ) allowed just four hits and three runs over seven strong innings and fellow junior Jeff Frazier (Toms River, NJ) delivered a pair of key, two-out RBI singles to lead Rutgers past Florida International, 4-3, halting a six-game losing streak in the process.

LOUIS, MO – Juniors Andy Roy (Wall, NJ), Rudy Medini (Colonia, NJ) and freshman Ramel Meekins (Westwood, NJ) each lost in his opening match at the 2004 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships on Thursday. All three Scarlet Knights, however, remain alive in consolation action which will continue on Friday at the Savvis Center in St. Louis, MO.

MIAMI, FL – The Rutgers women’s tennis team finished out its Spring Break trip with a dominate 7-0 win over St. Thomas University. The win improves the Scarlet Knights’ record to 8-5 overall, as RU won two of three matches in Florida.

PISCATAWAY, N.J - Freshman guard Quincy Douby scored a career-high 28 points in his first career start and Rutgers rallied from an eight-point, second-half deficit to defeat Temple 76-71 in the first round of the NIT on Wednesday night.

March-17-04 Softball Drops Doubleheader at Maryland
COLLEGE PARK, MD - The fifth inning proved to be the Scarlet Knights’ undoing, as they dropped the first two games of their Spring Break road trip on March 17 to Maryland (12-11). Rutgers (6-9) fell in game one of the double header, 6-4, before getting shut out 6-0 in the second game.

BOCA RATON, FL – After scoring three runs in the top of the 10th inning, the Rutgers baseball team (4-10) allowed four in the bottom of the inning as No. 14 Florida Atlantic (20-2) rallied for a 12-11 win over the Scarlet Knights tonight at FAU Stadium.

MIAMI, FL – The Rutgers baseball team fought back from a 5-0 deficit to take a 10-5 lead in the top of the eighth, only to watch Florida International score eight runs in the bottom of the inning en route to a 13-10 win on a wild and controversial night that saw the two teams score a combined 18 runs over the final 2 ½ innings and a pair of RU assistants earn ejections.
