October-13-04 Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Unveils 2005 Schedule
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers women’s lacrosse head coach Laura Brand has announced the team’s challenging 16-game schedule for the 2005 season. The Scarlet Knights will play a total of nine home contests in 2005, highlighted by a three-game homestand from March 23 through March 28.

October-13-04 Georgetown Tops Rutgers, 3-2, in BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Action
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers men’s soccer team scored two goals in the final 20 minutes of play, but a goal by Georgetown’s Jeff Curtin in the 74th minute sealed the 3-2 victory for the Hoyas Wednesday night in front of 1,004 fans at Yurcak Field.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers quarterback Ryan Hart (Coral Springs, FL) has been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 10. Hart earns the award following a 37-34 win at Vanderbilt – a game in which Hart completed 31-of-40 passes for 344 yards and two touchdowns - leading the Scarlet Knights to the biggest comeback in school history.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers sophomore goalkeeper Lubos Ancin (Burlington, NJ) was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week on Monday, the online publication announced. Ancin is recognized as the nation’s top goalkeeper for the week ending Oct. 10.

FLUSHING MEADOWS, NY – Freshmen Katrina Elder-Bush (Boston, MA) and the doubles tandem of Helen Magomedova (Brooklyn, NY) and Ketevan Shmakova (Dover, NJ) provided the major highlights this weekend as the Rutgers women’s tennis team competed in the presegious USTA Invitational at the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers sophomores Lubos Ancin (Burlington, NJ) and Bart Koffeman (The Hague, Holland) were each honored by the BIG EAST Conference on Monday. Ancin was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, while Koffeman took home league Defensive Player of the Week honors.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Sophomore Kim Mineo (Glen Rock, NJ) scored her first career goal in the 57th minute to lead the Rutgers women’s soccer team (8-7, 3-3 BIG EAST) to a 1-0 victory against Syracuse (6-5-2, 1-4-1 BIG EAST) Oct. 10 at Yurcak Field.
