The Rutgers women’s tennis team enters the 2004 fall season with high expectations, due in large part to a spring season that saw it win 13 matches and advance to the BIG EAST Championships in Coral Gables, FL. Aided by the return of five upperclassmen and bolstered by three talented freshmen, the Scarlet Knights begin their ambitious fall schedule on Friday, Sept. 10 at the Cornell Invitational.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Michigan State’s Veerle Goudswaard scored three goals as Michigan State, the defending co-champions of the Big Ten Conference, defeated Rutgers 4-0 on Thursday evening at the Rutgers Stadium Complex. With the loss, RU drops to 3-2 overall while MSU improves to 5-0.

September-08-04 Touchdown Club to Host Sports and Celebrity Auction
PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Rutgers University Touchdown Club's inaugural Sports and Celebrity Auction to benefit the Rutgers football program will be held on Friday, Sept. 10 at the Rutgers Athletic Center on the Livingston campus in Piscataway. Former New York Yankee great and Major League Baseball Hall of Fame member Yogi Berra will serve as honorary chairman of this inaugural event.
