November-26-04 No. 17/18 Rutgers Cruises Past Oregon State, 77-53
ST. THOMAS, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The No. 17/18 Rutgers women’s basketball team (3-0) outscored Oregon State (1-2) 36-18 in the second half on its way to a 77-53 victory at the University of the Virgin Islands Paradise Jam Nov. 26 at UVI’s Sport and Fitness Center on St. Thomas.

November-25-04 Rutgers Falls to Connecticut in Season Finale 41-35
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Tres Moses caught his way into the records books as Rutgers lost to Connecticut 41-35, on Thanksgiving morning at Rutgers Stadium. Moses, who finished the game with seven catches for 168 yards and two touchdowns, finished the 2004 campaign recording one of the best individual seasons in Rutgers history. Moses finished the year with 81 catches and 1,056 yards, both the most in school history. His stellar numbers this season also rank among the best in BIG EAST history, as he finished the year with the second-most catches and seventh-most receiving yards in a single-season in the history of the conference.

November-25-04 No. 17/18 Rutgers Defeats South Dakota State 68-50
ST. THOMAS, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The No. 17/18 Rutgers women’s basketball team used 29 points from freshman guard Matee Ajavon (Newark, NJ) to power past South Dakota State (3-1) 68-50 in the opening game of the University of the Virgin Islands Paradise Jam Nov. 25 at UVI’s Sport and Fitness Center on St. Thomas.

November-24-04 Rutgers Swimming and Diving Signs 10 High School All-Americans
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers swimming and diving team signed its largest early class in program history during the NCAA fall signing period of November 10-17. A total of 10 high school All-Americans signed with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights during the early signing period. Speed was the underlining characteristic of the women’s class, which received seven commitments. The men received letter of intents from three talented athletes that will balance the team nicely.

November-22-04 Rutgers Rallies to Defeat Charlotte for Season-Opening Road Win, 73-71
CHARLOTTE, NC – The Rutgers men’s basketball team erased a 15-point first-half deficit to earn a 73-71 victory at Charlotte on Monday night in the Scarlet Knights’ 2004-05 season-opener. The backcourt duo of senior Ricky Shields (Upper Marlboro, MD) and sophomore Quincy Douby (Brooklyn, NY) each scored a game-high 20 points in the season-opening victory – the third in head coach Gary Waters’ four-year tenure.

November-21-04 Rutgers Swimming and Diving Splits Against Princeton
PRINCETON, NJ – The Rutgers swimming and diving squads split its dual meet against Princeton on Sunday, as the women earned a 156.50-140.50 triumph over the Tigers while the men fell by a score of 202-98.

November-20-04 No. 17/18 Rutgers Cruises Past Rider, 90-42 in Season Opener
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The No. 17/18 Rutgers women’s basketball team (1-0) jumped out to an early 11 point lead (13-2) and never looked back on its way to a 90-42 victory against Rider (0-1) in the season opener on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.

November-20-04 Navy Runs Past Rutgers, 54-21
ANNAPOLIS, MD - Navy (8-2) carried the ball 66 times for 481 yards, including 28 times for 228 yards in the first half, building a 40-7 lead at the break en route to a 54-21 win over Rutgers (4-6) this afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. Wide receiver Tres Moses set the single-season reception mark (74) with his 6-catch, 121-yard effort, while TE Clark Harris added a game-high 9 catches for 116 yards.

November-20-04 Ressa, Roy Power Rutgers Wrestling to Fourth-Place Finish at Navy Classic
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Seniors Andy Roy (Wall, NJ) and Chris Ressa (Andover, NJ) took home weight-class titles to lead the Rutgers wrestling team to a fourth-place finish at the Navy Classic inside Halsey Field House on the campus of the United States Naval Academy on Saturday.
