The win improves Rutgers to 3-3-2 overall, handing Michigan its first loss of the season at 6-1.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers head men’s basketball coach Gary Waters has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him “On the Banks” through 2010, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Robert E. Mulcahy III has announced. On the eve of his fourth season at Rutgers, Waters inked a seven-year contract when he was hired after a successful five-year stint as the head coach at Kent State.

VILLANOVA, PA - The Rutgers men’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 21 Villanova Wednesday afternoon at the Villanova Soccer Complex. The loss, their first in BIG EAST Conference play, drops the Scarlet Knights to 2-3-2 on the season and 1-1-1 in league action.

HANOVER, NH – Senior Mary Stewart (Scottsdale, AZ) shot a 157 (79-78) to tie for third place out of 108 competitors at the Dartmouth Invitational over the weekend, leading the Scarlet Knights to a sixth-place finish in the 20-team tournament. RU shot 666 (337-329) for the two-day event, held at the 5,803-yard, par-72 Hanover Golf Course.
