June-24-04 New Surface, Scoreboard Set for Rutgers Stadium
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Robert E. Mulcahy has announced that Rutgers Stadium, home of the Scarlet Knights football program, will benefit from two major renovations when the team opens its home schedule on Sept. 4 vs. Michigan State. Since the conclusion of Spring Practice 2004, the playing surface as been changed to FieldTurf, while a new, state-of-the-art scoreboard will grace the south end zone.

June-21-04 Frazier Signs Contract with Detroit Tigers
PISCATAWAY, NJ – All-American outfielder Jeff Frazier (Toms River, NJ) became the fifth and final member of the 2004 Rutgers baseball team to sign a professional contract when he agreed to terms with the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Frazier, the team’s third-round selection, is headed to the Oneonta Tigers of the NY-Penn League and is expected to make his debut at some point this week.

June-17-04 Frazier Named Dick Howser Award Finalist
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers University outfielder Jeff Frazier (Toms River, NJ) has been named one of 10 finalists for the Dick Howser Trophy, given annually to the top player in collegiate baseball. The winner will be announced at the College World Series in Omaha on Friday, June 18 at 9:30 a.m. CDT.
