PITTSBURGH, PA - The Rutgers University gymnastics team placed eighth at the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) championships on Saturday evening at the Petersen Events Center on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh with a team score of 192.475. West Virginia won the league championship with a 197.050. North Carolina (196.675) and Pittsburgh finished in second and third place, respectively (196.050).

ST. LOUIS, MO - Juniors Andy Roy (Wall, NJ) and Rudy Medini (Colonia, NJ) and freshman Ramel Meekins (Westwood, NJ) each saw his run through the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships come to an end on Friday. All three advanced through the consolation brackets Thursday night and Friday afternoon, before losing their second match of the double-elimination tournament.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Fueled by a pair of outstanding pitching performances, Rutgers (8-9) took two games on day one of the Cavalier Classic in Charlottesville, VA, on March 19, by defeating Towson, 1-0, and returning later in the afternoon to post a second-straight shutout in a 4-0 victory over host Virginia.

COLLEGE STATION, TX – Sophomore Kelly Harrigan (Bristol, CT) and senior Casmera Wick (Longmont, CO) each competed on the opening day of the 2004 NCAA Division I Swimming Championships on Thursday in College Station, TX.

March-18-04 Frazier, Egbert Lead Rutgers Past Florida International, 4-3
MIAMI, FL – Junior Jack Egbert (Rutherford, NJ) allowed just four hits and three runs over seven strong innings and fellow junior Jeff Frazier (Toms River, NJ) delivered a pair of key, two-out RBI singles to lead Rutgers past Florida International, 4-3, halting a six-game losing streak in the process.

March-18-04 Roy, Medini and Meekins Still Alive After Opening Day At NCAA Championships
ST. LOUIS, MO – Juniors Andy Roy (Wall, NJ), Rudy Medini (Colonia, NJ) and freshman Ramel Meekins (Westwood, NJ) each lost in his opening match at the 2004 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships on Thursday. All three Scarlet Knights, however, remain alive in consolation action which will continue on Friday at the Savvis Center in St. Louis, MO.
