PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers University gymnastics team (13-6, 1-5 EAGL) scored 191.200 points to take second place, missing the top spot by just one-tenth of a point in its regular-season home finale at the Livingston Recreation Center. Eastern Michigan finished in first place with 191.300 points, followed by the Scarlet Knights, Cornell (187.775) and Ursinus (184.650).

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Rutgers seniors Andy Roy (Wall, NJ) and Chris Ressa (Andover, NJ) each qualified for the NCAA Championships in St. Louis, MO, March 17-20. The duo led Rutgers to an eighth-place finish out of 13 schools in the EIWA Championships, hosted by the United States Naval Academy, on Saturday.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) -- The fifth-ranked Eagles (24-3, 13-3) clinched the conference regular-season title and earned the No. 1 seed in next week's Big East tournament by beating Rutgers 78-66 on Saturday night behind a 21-point, 11-rebound performance by Jared Dudley.

NORFOLK, VA – Seniors Rich Canuso (Monroe, NJ) and Colin Gaynor (Toms River, NJ) and junior Johnny Defendis (Staten Island, NY) each collected two hits and two RBI to back a strong effort from starting pitcher Aaron Kalb (Middletown, NJ) as Rutgers defeated Old Dominion, 11-2, this afternoon in Norfolk. Kalb improved to 2-0 by allowing just two runs in 6.0 innings of work, while sophomore Sean Spicer (Pearl River, NY) picked up his second save with three shutout innings of relief. RU is now 5-1, while ODU falls to 9-6.

March-04-05 Roy, Ressa Advance to Semis in First Day of EIWA Championships
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Rutgers seniors Andy Roy (Wall, NJ) and Chris Ressa (Andover, NJ) each reached the semifinal round of their weight bracket on Friday in the opening day of the 101st annual Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Championships (EIWA). Rutgers is in ninth place in the 13-school tournament, hosted by the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The Scarlet Knights accumulated 13 points as a team on Friday. Lehigh leads the team championship with 60 points after the opening day.

March-04-05 Five Scarlet Knights Honored by BIG EAST
HARTFORD, CT – Five members of the No. 9/9 Rutgers women’s basketball team (23-5, 14-2 BIG EAST) were singled out for their regular-season accomplishments with awards at the BIG EAST Conference pre-tournament banquet March 4 in Hartford, CT. In all, RU snagged four of the seven specialty awards, and earned a total of five berths on the five all-league teams.
