PISCATAWAY, NJ – The No. 6/7 Rutgers women’s basketball team (13-3, 4-0 BIG EAST) scored 20 of the games first 24 points en route to a 74-40 victory over Providence (1-15, 0-4 BIG EAST) on Thursday evening at the Louis Brown Athletic Center. The win was RU’s eighth in the last nine games.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Sophomore guard Quincy Douby (Brooklyn, NY) nailed a clutch three-pointer with 1:29 to go to give him a game-high 20 points and lift the Scarlet Knights to their first BIG EAST victory of the season. Douby’s three-pointer gave RU a 65-59 lead and Rutgers held off Providence to earn a 72-65 lead at the Louis Brown Athletic Center Wednesday night.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – With injuries depleting the Rutgers roster, several Scarlet Knights were forced to bump up and compete at higher weights to prevent a forfeit in at any weight. The strategy paid off as Rutgers earned a hard-fought 26-18 victory over Sacred Heart on Saturday night at the College Avenue Gymnasium in New Brunswick. The win improves the Scarlet Knights to 5-2 in dual matches this season, while the Pioneers fall to 2-5.
