PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers volleyball team (10-4) got out to an early 1-0 lead but Boston College (10-7) took the next three games on its way to a 3-1 victory (26-30, 30-16, 30-26, 30-28) over the Scarlet Knights on the first day of competition at the BIG EAST Challenge. In the first match of the day, Connecticut (8-5) defeated Villanova (4-7) 3-1, (30-25, 30-17, 22-30, 30-14).
