LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Scott Knazek, who finished the game 5-for-6 with 4 RBI, singled home Bryan Wagner in the bottom of the 10th to snap a 6-6 tie and give Rider a 7-6 win over Rutgers this afternoon at Sonny Pittaro Field. RU had tied the game at 6-6 in the seventh on a two-out balk, but failed to score in the eighth and ninth, forcing extra innings.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers University wrestling team held its annual awards banquet on Monday night, April 11, at the Hale Center on the school’s Busch Campus. The team posted a 6-8 record in 2004-05 despite being riddled with injuries to several starters throughout the season. The Scarlet Knights sent a pair of wrestlers to the NCAA Championships in St. Louis, MO.

MORGANTOWN, WV – Rutgers jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning, but was shut down the rest of the way by WVU freshman Ryan Hill as the Mountaineers rallied for a 6-4 win this afternoon in the series finale at Hawley Field. Hill, who entered the game with a 7.02 ERA, shut down the Scarlet Knights for 7.1 innings, while wild pitches and a trio of costly errors doomed the Scarlet Knights.
