September-16-05 Men's Golf in Third-Place Tie After First Day of Rutgers Invitational
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers men’s golf team opened its season on Friday, Sept. 16, when it played host to 12 teams in the Rutgers Invitational. The Scarlet Knights shot a 577 over the first 36 holes and find themselves in a tie for third place.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Rutgers women's volleyball team (3-7) bounced back from its five-game skid in dramatic fashion with a 3-1 (31-29, 19-30, 30-26, 33-31) victory against Temple (4-7) at the Embassy Suites Classic on Friday, Sept. 16, at the College Avenue Gymnasium. The Scarlet Knights previously suffered a 3-0 loss to the Owls in their first meeting on Aug. 25.

September-14-05 Kessler Leaves Rutgers Athletic Training Post After 19 Years
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Coordinator of Athletic Training Services Don Kessler, an 18-year veteran at Rutgers University, has resigned from his post and was recently named the Assistant Athletic Director in charge of Strength and Conditioning and Athletic Training at San Diego State University. While at Rutgers, he coordinated the athletic training services for all 30 Division I sports and supervised a group of 10 full-time, certified trainers.
