MORGANTOWN, WV – The Rutgers University volleyball team (6-8, 1-0 BIG EAST) earned its first BIG EAST victory of the season with a 3-2 (30-24, 30-27, 24-30, 21-30, 15-12) decision against West Virginia University (10-4, 0-1 BIG EAST) on Friday, Sept. 23, at WVU Coliseum.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Former Scarlet Knight Chelsea Newton (’05) and her Sacramento Monarch teammates won the franchise’s first WNBA title, defeating the Connecticut Sun 62-59 in Game 4 to win the best-of-five series 3-1.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers women’s soccer head coach Glenn Crooks earned his 100th career victory Sept. 20 when his Scarlet Knights defeated Loyola (MD) 1-0 in overtime at Yurcak Field.

September-21-05 Men’s Lacrosse Opens Fall Season Oct. 8
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers men’s lacrosse team will open its fall season with a pair of scrimmages on Saturday, Oct. 8. The Scarlet Knights travel to Bethlehem, PA, to face Lehigh at noon and Villanova at 2:00 p.m.
