McCormick announced today that Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, has begun a New Brunswick/Piscataway campus self-study of its athletics program as part of the NCAA Division I athletics certification program. PISCATAWAY, NJ – The annual Rutgers men’s soccer Alumni Game will be held Saturday, Feb. 26 in the bubble on the school’s Busch campus. The Bubble, located a short walk from Yurcak Field and adjacent to Rutgers Stadium, is a climate-controlled indoor arena with a FieldTurf playing surface.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Senior goalie Lyndsey Feldman (Ft. Myers, FL) was named the BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, in a vote by the league’s head coaches, it was announced on Monday. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players in both the individual and team polls. Rutgers was picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST Preseason Poll, while senior defender Catherine Seals (Long Valley, NJ) joined Feldman on the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Albert W. “Al” Twitchell, an outstanding athlete, coach and athletic administrator at Rutgers, passed away on Saturday (Feb. 5, 2005), in Highland Beach, FL. Twitchell was 94.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – A 14-5 second-half run by No. 7/8 Rutgers (16-5, 7-2 BIG EAST) helped the Scarlet Knights pull away from Syracuse (11-10, 3-7 BIG EAST) for a 69-61 victory on Sunday afternoon at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.
