May-18-03 Rutgers Ties for Third Place at IC4A Championships
PRINCETON, NJ - The Rutgers men's outdoor track and field team tied for third place at the 2003 IC4A Championships, hosted by Princeton University. The Scarlet Knights earned 41 points to tie with Connecticut. West Virginia won with 48 points and Princeton had 47 points to capture second. There were 48 scoring teams.

May-17-03 Rutgers Finishes BIG EAST Slate with 6-2 Loss to ‘Nova
PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA – One day after clinching the BIG EAST Regular Season Championship with a doubleheader sweep, Rutgers lost, 6-2, to Villanova in the final regular season conference contest for both schools. RU built an early 2-0 lead and appeared headed for its third win, but the Wildcats rallied for five runs in the fourth inning and used outstanding pitching from John Yeager to polish off the win. With the loss today, Rutgers is 32-18 overall and 19-6 in BIG EAST play.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers heavyweights have moved up to ninth in this week’s USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Men’s Varsity Eight Poll, the Scarlet Knights’ highest ranking since 1999.

May-16-03 RU Baseball Clinches BIG EAST Championship By Sweeping Villanova
PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA – The Rutgers baseball team (32-17, 19-5) clinched the 2003 BIG EAST Regular Season Championship with a doubleheader sweep of Villanova this afternoon. After battling through a 2:28 rain delay to win the opener, 5-0, RU’s Shaun Parker (Westampton, NJ) fired a five-inning no-hitter as Rutgers won the nightcap, 9-0, to complete the sweep. The two victories, coupled with a pair of West Virginia losses, give RU its first regular season title since 2000 and its third in six seasons.

PRINCETON, NJ -- Rutgers men's track and field standout Sam Segond (East Stroudsburg, PA) won the discus competition at the IC4A Track and Field Championships hosted by Princeton University Friday.
