KARLSKOGA, SWEDEN – Former Rutgers University standout Carli Lloyd (Delran, NJ) and the U.S. Women’s Soccer Under-21 National Team advanced to the final of the 2005 Nordic Cup, defeating Germany 3-1 in the final pool-play game July 24 in Karlskoga, Sweden.

TUNIS, TUNISIA – Rutgers’ Essence Carson (Paterson, NJ) had game highs of six assists and four steals as the U.S. defeated Serbia & Montenegro 97-76 to win the gold medal at the FIBA Under-19 World Championship June 24 in Tunis, Tunisia.
