PISCATAWAY – The Big Ten Conference today announced game times and television designations for the 2017-18 men's basketball season. Rutgers fans have the opportunity to support the Scarlet Knights 22 times at the RAC, including nine contests versus opponents that earned NCAA (6) or NIT (3) bids last season, and against six foes that hail from the New York metropolitan region.
Rutgers plays 31 regular season games overall, before competing in the 2018 Big Ten Tournament at Madison Square Garden, Feb. 28-March 4.
As an exclusive benefit, Rutgers men's basketball season ticket holders will have the opportunity to request and buy 100-level tickets to the Big Ten Tournament at a seating quantity consistent with their RU season ticket level (maximum eight tickets). The 100-level Big Ten Tournament ticket allotment is limited and will be allocated via priority point levels.
Fans can renew or purchase season tickets by calling 866-445-GORU or by clicking here.
Rutgers plays 15 games (48% of its regular season schedule) against opponents that earned NCAA (Florida State, Seton Hall, Minnesota, Michigan State [2], Wisconsin, Northwestern, Maryland, Purdue [2], Michigan) or NIT (Indiana, Illinois [2], Iowa) postseason berths in 2016-17. The Scarlet Knights play six games against opponents nationally-ranked in the CBS Sports Top 25 preseason rankings (No. 4 Michigan State [2], No. 14 Minnesota, No. 15 Northwestern, No. 24 Purdue [2]) as well as Seton Hall (No. 20 USA Today/No. 25 Sporting News preseason rankings) for a total of seven games (23 percent of regular season schedule) against preseason ranked programs.
All listed times are Eastern and the schedule is subject to change. The game time and television designation for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge match-up versus Florida State at the RAC on Nov. 28 is still to be announced.
