PISCATAWAY, N.J. – For its first ranked matchup of the season, No. 15 Rutgers women's soccer is set to clash with No. 21 UConn at Yurcak Field on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
RUTGERS QUICK KICKS
	- Rutgers (2-0-0) jumped up six spots in the United Soccer Coaches Poll after opening the season with back-to-back shutouts, including a 3-0 win over Loyola Marymount on Friday and a 4-0 victory over Monmouth on Sunday.
 
	- Rutgers is also ranked No. 20 by Soccer America and No. 23 by Top Drawer Soccer.
 
	- Six different Scarlet Knights contributed to RU's seven total goals over the weekend, led by sophomore forward Carina Hendley with two.
 
	- Overall, five of the seven goals were scored by underclassmen, including sophomores Taylor Aylmer and Hendley, and freshmen Amirah Ali and Alaysia Lane.
 
	- Junior defender Kenie Wright and senior forward Colby Ciarrocca each added a goal and an assist in the victory over Monmouth.
 
	- Redshirt junior goalkeeper Casey Murphy picked up the shutout win in both contests, logging 180 minutes in net. Murphy now has 31 career shutouts and 34 wins as a Scarlet Knight.
 
SCOUTING UCONN 
	- UConn (0-0-1) opened its season at Syracuse on Monday, playing to a double overtime, 1-1 draw.
 
	- Freshman forward Zoe Steck posted the Huskies' sole goal with help from senior forward Tanya Altrui on the assist.
 
	- Redshirt freshman Mollie Kerrigan logged 110 minutes in net, recording seven saves.
 
	- UConn, the reigning American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament champions, registered an overall record of 19-3-1 and a league mark of 8-0-1 in 2016. The Huskies advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
	- In the American Athletic Conference Preseason Poll, UConn was selected to finish fifth in the league.
 
	- Seventeen Huskies return to the squad from 2016, including All-Rookie Team selections in Alana Moore and Kristen Vinciguerra.
 
	- UConn hosts Yale on Friday before making its trip to Rutgers.
 
SERIES VS. THE HUSKIES
	- Although UConn holds a 16-5-4 lead in the all-time series dating back to 1987, RU has prevailed in the last three matchups.
 
	- Last season, the then-No. 22 Scarlet Knights claimed a 2-0 win over the then-No. 10 Huskies on the road.
