Former All-Big Ten student-athlete joins Scarlet Knights after competing at Purdue
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Head coach Rob Shutte has announced the addition of Austin Eoff as an assistant coach for the Rutgers men's golf program. Eoff, who competed collegiately at Purdue from 2013-17, is a four-time All-Big Ten selection and represented the Boilermakers at the 2017 NCAA Championships.
"As a four-time all-conference selection, Austin's knowledge and experience will provide our program with tools to succeed in the Big Ten," Shutte said. "We're excited to welcome Austin to Rutgers."
Eoff closed out his senior campaign ranking third on the Purdue single-season stroke average list at 72.38 strokes per round. The career leader in stroke average (72.72), Eoff became the third player in school history to be named All-Big Ten four times. Eoff was also named a Division I Ping All-Region selection for the fourth time in his career.
The Benton, Arkansas, native owns the school record for consecutive top-10 finishes (8), which he accomplished from the spring of 2015 to the spring of 2016.
Eoff will help a Scarlet Knight program that returns seven student-athletes for the 2017-18 season. RU finished sixth overall at the Big Ten Match Play Championships this year, with upset victories over No. 2-seeded Michigan and No.6-seeded Ohio State.
