(July 31, 2017) - Rutgers men's basketball will host Seton Hall in the Garden State Hardwood Classic, Florida State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, as well as metro foes Fordham, NJIT, Fairleigh Dickinson and Stony Brook, at the RAC during a 13-game non-conference schedule in 2017-18. Under the leadership of head coach
Steve Pikiell, the Scarlet Knights will also welcome nine Big Ten opponents to Piscataway during a 22-game home slate, before competing in the Big Ten Conference Tournament at Madison Square Garden. Overall, Rutgers will play 31 games against a total of 12 teams that earned a NCAA (9) or NIT (3) bid last season.

"We are very excited about the non-conference schedule we have put together for the 2017-2018 season," head coach
Steve Pikiell said. "Our fans know The RAC is one of the best college basketball venues in America and we are thrilled to bring some terrific basketball to Piscataway this year. With a challenging schedule featuring opponents from the Big East, ACC, AAC, and A-10, as well as several regional programs, we look forward to competing in a packed RAC as we strive to build off the successes of last season."
In Big Ten Conference action, Rutgers has home-and-home meetings with Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State and Purdue. The Scarlet Knights will welcome Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, and Wisconsin to the RAC this season. Rutgers will travel to face Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota and Penn State in 2017-18.
