Limited Quantity of Mobile-Only Digital Tickets on Sale Monday
PISCATAWAY – Rutgers Athletics today announced RAC Pass, a new mobile-only ticket solution that guarantees admission to all 22 men's basketball regular season home games for just $99. A total of 200 RAC Passes will be made available to the public beginning at 12 noon Monday (Oct. 16) via the Rutgers gameday app or online at ScarletKnights.com on a first-come, first-served basis.
These mobile-only tickets will be delivered to the iPhone or Android phone of the registered purchaser on a game-by-game basis upon arrival at the RAC utilizing geo-fence perimeter technology. The passes are non-transferable, unprintable and can only be used by the purchaser and/or other designated ticket holders.
"Providing fans with innovative ticket options is critical, especially in this competitive marketplace," said Senior Associate AD for External Affairs and Strategic Communications Rick Thorpe. "Coach Pikiell has done a tremendous job with this program in a short period of time. We are doing everything we can to support coach's efforts by engaging our fans to provide the best home court advantage possible."
Individuals may purchase up to four RAC Passes together, but that purchaser will own all four passes and will need to present the digital tickets at every game for the group to gain access to the arena.
RAC Pass seat locations will vary, depending upon the available seating inventory of the particular game.
Fans also have the opportunity to purchase a men's basketball flex ticket plan and select any four games from the schedule to create their own package. Four-game flex ticket plans are $140 for 200 level center tickets, $120 for 200 level wing tickets, and $60 for 300 level tickets.
Rutgers plays 31 regular season games before competing in the 2018 Big Ten Tournament at Madison Square Garden, Feb. 28-March 4. The Scarlet Knights' 22 home games include nine opponents that earned NCAA (6) or NIT (3) bids last season, and six foes that hail from the New York metropolitan region.
