2010-11 Rutgers Leadership Award Recipient

Amy ZhangAmy Zhang: Senior (Tennis) - Served as the President of Women in Computer Science, Executive Board member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, member of Cap and Skull, International Honor Society in Economics and the National College Athlete Honor Society. During her spare time Amy also served as a peer mentor at the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. This past year with a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA majoring in Computer Science and a double minor in Mathematics and Economics, Amy was chosen as one of just 90 individuals worldwide for the Gates Cambridge Scholar. Amy was also the first female winner of the American Eagle Outfitters Michael Tranghese Postgraduate Leadership Award and received the Arthur Ashe award for leadership and sportsmanship.

With a 16-6 singles record, including an 8-1 mark in conference action, Zhang was named to the All-BIG EAST Team for the third-consecutive season. Zhang finished her career with a perfect 29-0 home record at No. 1 singles. For her accomplishments on and off the court Amy was named on the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Third Team.
