PISCATAWAY, N.J. (June 11, 2013) – Rutgers women’s lacrosse was recognized by the NCAA for its academic success with the release of the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores on Tuesday. The Scarlet Knights recorded a 1,000 score for the 2011-12 academic year – the program’s fourth-straight perfect mark.
The Scarlet Knights are tied for first in the NCAA with a 1000 multiyear score. Rutgers also earned its fourth-consecutive nod to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I Academic Squad.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete. The APR includes eligibility, retention, and graduation in the calculation and provides a clear picture of the academic culture in each sport.
