October-19-06 Women’s Lacrosse Announces Spring 2007 Schedule
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women’s lacrosse team will play a highly-competitive 16-game schedule for the 2007 season, head coach Laura Brand announced. The Scarlet Knights will face off against a total of six teams, which advanced to the 2006 NCAA Tournament, including two-time defending national champion Northwestern.

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Recently graduated Rutgers University women’s lacrosse player Lisa Savage (Cortlandt Manor, NY) was named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I Academic Honor Roll, the organization announced.

June-20-06 Six Incoming Women’s Lacrosse Players Earn All-America Honors
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Six Rutgers University incoming women’s lacrosse players were acknowledged as All-Americans last week. New Jersey natives Brooke Cantwell (Moorestown, NJ), Jessica Davis (Moorestown, NJ), Meghan Flanagan (Medford, NJ), Erika Page (Moorestown, NJ) and Emily Penn (Medford, NJ) were all named to the All-America First Team, while Karie McGuire (Monrovia, MD) garnered All-American Honorable Mention.

June-05-06 Cantwell Named Under Armour Girls All-America
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Brooke Cantwell (Moorestown, NJ), a 5-9 senior attacker at Moorestown High School who will continue her lacrosse career as a Scarlet Knight beginning in the fall, has been named to the first-ever Under Armour All-America team.

May-25-06 Batiuk and Lawrence Named Regional All-Americans
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers University junior midfielder Katie Batiuk (Jackson, NJ) was named to the IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team, the committee announced Wednesday evening. Joining Batiuk was freshman midfielder Katy Lawrence (Pylesville, MD), who was named to the Second Team.

May-24-06 Women’s Lacrosse Announces Two Additions to Recruiting Class
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers University women’s lacrosse program received commitments from two Maryland natives, head coach Laura Brand has announced. Maggie Pierce (Severn, MD) and Karie McGuire (Monrovia, MD) will join six other student-athletes who officially committed to Rutgers during the early signing period in December.

May-16-06 Three Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Players Honored by BIG EAST
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers University junior midfielder Katie Batiuk (Jackson, NJ) was a unanimous selection to the women’s lacrosse All-BIG EAST First Team, the league announced Monday afternoon. She was one of three Scarlet Knights honored, along with junior defender Anne Marchitello (Medford Lakes, NJ) and freshman standout Katy Lawrence (Pylesville, MD), who were named to the Second Team.

May-06-06 Rutgers Drops Season Finale to Cornell, 16-10
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers University women’s lacrosse team closed out its 2006 season on Saturday with a 16-10 loss on Senior Day to the 10th-ranked Cornell at Yurcak Field.
