Katie Batiuk added in three goals and two assists as the Scarlet Knights have now won two-straight games.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's lacrosse team (7-2, 1-1) defeated Old Dominion (3-2), 11-8, on Monday afternoon. Three Scarlet Knights scored two goals apiece and the defense held the Lady Monarchs goalless for nearly 25 minutes in the second half to help secure the victory.

March-26-07 Batiuk Named to Preseason Player of the Year Watch
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers senior midfielder Katie Batiuk (Jackson, N.J.) has been named to the Tewaarton Trophy Watch List it was announced on Sunday. The award is recognized as the pre-eminent lacrosse award honoring the top female and male varsity collegiate lacrosse player in the United States.

March-24-07 No. 18 Scarlet Knights Suffer Loss to No. 9 Georgetown
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The No. 18/19 Rutgers women's lacrosse team (6-2, 1-1) dropped a 9-3 decision to ninth-ranked Georgetown (5-2, 2-0) on Saturday, March 24. The loss was just the second of the season for the Scarlet Knights and their first conference loss of the season. With the win, Georgetown remains undefeated in conference play and extends its winning streak against Rutgers to eight games.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Sophomore Nina Frankoski (Maplewood, N.J.) scored four goals, including three in the second half, to propel the Rutgers women's lacrosse team to a 14-12 win over Hofstra University on Tuesday afternoon at the RU Turf Field.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - For the fourth straight week, Rutgers has placed a player on the BIG EAST weekly honor roll. The recipient for the third time this season is sophomore midfielder Michelle Poole.

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Senior Katie Batiuk (Jackson, N.J.) and sophomore Michelle Poole (Hackettstown, N.J.) scored three goals each to push Rutgers to an 11-6 victory at Monmouth in women’s lacrosse action on Wednesday.

March-13-07 Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Ranked No. 17 in Latest IWLCA Poll
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's lacrosse team (4-1, 1-0) is ranked No. 17 in the most recent Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll. Rutgers, under the direction of head coach Laura Brand, was unranked in the ILWCA preseason poll, but after a 4-1 start to the season, has earned national recognition. The team's current ranking is the highest since a No. 11 standing during the 2000 regular season, a year in which the team posted an overall record of 7-8 to finish 19th in the season's final poll.
