August 11, 2008 Women’s Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Academic Awards
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's lacrosse program was one of 50 schools that earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Squad honors, it was announced Monday. Teams that have a collective GPA of 3.0 or higher earn the distinction of being named Academic Squad.

August 8, 2008 Former RU Player/Coach Christina Curiale Named Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Wagner
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Former Rutgers player and coach Christina Curiale was named the head coach of Wagner's women's lacrosse team, the school announced Friday. Curiale returns to the Northeast Conference (NEC), having spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Monmouth University from 2004-07.

July 22, 2008 Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Wins 2007-08 BIG EAST Team Academic Excellence Award
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's lacrosse program was recognized for its success in the classroom during the 2007-08 season. The Scarlet Knights received the BIG EAST 2007-08 Team Academic Excellence Award, given to squads with the highest collective grade-point averages in each conference sport.

July 14, 2008 Penn Selected to Jewish Sports Review All-America Team
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers rising junior defender Emily Penn (Medford, N.J.) was named to the Jewish Sports Review 2008 Women's Lacrosse All-America Team, it was announced on Monday. Rising senior Kathryn Seidman (Baltimore, Md.) was an Honorable Mention selection.

July 3, 2008 Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Announces 2009 Recruiting Class
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse signed three players to its 2009 recruiting class, head coach Laura Brand announced. Annie McGinley (Moorestown, N.J.), Ali Steinberg (Suffern, N.Y.) and Danielle Mascera (Verona, N.J.) will play for the Scarlet Knights starting in 2009.

May 22, 2008 Three Scarlet Knights Named to IWLCA All-Regional Teams
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Three Rutgers women's lacrosse players were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Regional teams, it was announced on Thursday. Sophomore attacker Brooke Cantwell was named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, while junior goalie Sandra Abel and sophomore defender Jessica Davis were each named to the Second Team.

May 12, 2008 Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse 2008 Season Review
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Guiding a young team with only one senior on the roster, head coach Laura Brand again led her alma mater to a successful season. After dropping their first four games, the young Scarlet Knights might have given up on the rest of the season, but Brand kept the team on track as they clinched a second consecutive berth in the BIG EAST Championship.

April 27, 2008 Cantwell Named to BIG EAST All-Tournament Team
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Rutgers sophomore attacker Brooke Cantwell (Moorestown, N.J.) was selected to the BIG EAST All-Tournament team, the league announced Sunday. In the Scarlet Knights' semifinal loss to eventual champion Syracuse, Cantwell finished tied for the team-high with two goals. She also recorded a team-high three draw controls.

April 25, 2008 Rutgers’ Season Ends At The Hands of No. 5 Syracuse
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Rutgers women’s lacrosse team fought valiantly but were unable to mount a comeback, falling to No. 5 Syracuse 22-7 in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship, Friday evening at historic Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind. Rutgers (7-10) held Syracuse (15-2) scoreless for the first 9:07 of the contest, the longest SU has gone without scoring a goal to start a game this season, breaking its previous mark of 8:03.

April 24, 2008 Three Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Players Earn Postseason Honors
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Three Rutgers women's lacrosse players were named to the All-Conference teams, it was announced at the league banquet Thursday night. Sophomore attacker Brooke Cantwell (Moorestown, N.J.) was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team, while sophomore defender Jessica Davis (Moorestown, N.J.) and sophomore midfielder Mary Cryan (Newtown Square, Pa.) were named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
