Chris O’Dougherty PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers senior defensemen Chris O’Dougherty (Kinnelon, N.J.) has been selected to play in the 68th United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association North/South All-Star game. The contest will be played at Harvard Stadium on Friday, May 22 as part of a triple header.

O’Dougherty’s South team will take on the North in one of three games to be played on Memorial Day Weekend. The Division III all-star game will be played at 2 p.m., the Division I/II game will start at 4 p.m. and the Boston Cannons MLL game vs. the Denver Outlaws will wrap up the day at 7:30 p.m.

Rutgers men’s lacrosse head coach Jim Stagnitta and assistant coach Jason Basso will lead the South squad.

O’Dougherty, an All-ECAC selection in each of the last three years, ended his RU career starting all but one game. After the 2008 season, he was awarded the William Miller Trophy as the team’s MVP. The Kinnelon native scooped 43 groundballs during his senior season, second-best on the team. While anchoring the RU defense, O’Dougherty caused 13 turnovers, also second on the squad.

Tickets for all three games are available by calling the Cannons ticket office at 617-746-9933 or by visiting http://www.bostoncannons.com/tickets/purchasetickets/ .
