Blomquist has been one of the main offensive threats for the 5-0 Scarlet Knights, as he leads the team in both points (17) and assists (13) this season. In the team’s last action, Blomquist dished out a career-high four assists in the 14-7 victory over Albany on Saturday, March 8. Earlier in the week, Blomquist netted two goals and added two assists in the 15-4 victory against Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday, March 5.
Blomquist is the second Scarlet Knight to earn an ECAC Weekly Award this season, as freshman goalie Greg Havalchak (Corning, NY) was named ECAC Rookie of the Week on March 3.
Blomquist and the Scarlet Knights will attempt to improve to 6-0 for the first time since the 1955 season this weekend, at No. 10 Navy. The team’s 8-0 start in 1955 serves as the best start in the history of the program. The game is set to begin at Rip Miller Field in Annapolis, MD, at 12 p.m.
