PISCATAWAY, NJ - The annual Rutgers-Syracuse men’s lacrosse game, slated for Saturday, April 15 at RU’s Yurcak Field (noon), will be shown on ESPN 360.
Available on the internet, ESPN 360 is free, but only through select high-speed internet providers. ESPN360’s largest provider is Verizon, which reaches over 4.5 million households, with a strong distribution base throughout New York, New Jersey and New England. It is also available in the Northeast through Adelphia, SusCom, US Cable and Braintree Electric (BELD) and will offer access on the campuses of any schools involved in live games. A live stream of the broadcast will be available for free on the Rutgers and Syracuse campuses.
In addition, the Scarlet Knights’ regular-season finale against Massachusetts on May 6 at Garber Field will be televised nationally on ESPNU. To accommodate the broadcast, the start time has been moved to 3:30 p.m. and the game can also been seen through ESPN 360.
ESPNU, which debuted in March of 2005, will broadcast 22 lacrosse games this spring. The channel is available through regional affiliates.
Rutgers (2-3, 0-1 ECAC) hosts ECAC foe Hobart (3-2, 0-1 ECAC) at Yurcak Field this Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
