PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers men’s lacrosse season will continue in the first round of the NCAA Division I Tournament as the Scarlet Knights earned one of 10 at-large bids to this year’s tournament. The Scarlet Knights (8-5) will face intrastate rival Princeton in the opening round on Saturday at Princeton’s Class of 1952 Stadium. Face-off time is set for noon.

April-24-04 No. 9 Rutgers Men’s Lax Defeats Penn State, 10-6, to Win Friendship Cup
STATE COLLEGE, PA – For the first time in school history, the Friendship Cup is coming home to Piscataway. Led by two goals apiece from Matt Apel (Bridgewater, NJ), John Flanagan (Smithtown, NY) and Chris Doctor (Skaneateles, NY), the ninth-ranked Rutgers men’s lacrosse team defeated Penn State for the first time in 11 years, knocking off the Nittany Lions 10-6 at PSU’s Jeffrey Field on Saturday afternoon.
