June-14-06 Six Incoming Lacrosse Recruits Earn All-State Honors
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Incoming freshmen Drew Englehardt (Far Hills, NJ), Justin Pennington (Flemington, NJ) and Brendan Porter (Maplewood, NJ) each earned New Jersey Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association First Team (NJILCA) All-State honors to lead a six-man contingent of future Scarlet Knights honored by the organization.

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Incoming freshmen Justin Pennington (Flemington, NJ) and Brendan Porter (Maplewood, NJ) each earned New Jersey Boys Lacrosse All-America honors from US Lacrosse, the organization recently announced. In addition, Pennington shared honors as New Jersey Midfielder of the Year, along with Chris Hogan of Ramapo.

June-01-06 Havalchak, Britts Selected In Major League Lacrosse Draft
FAIRFIELD, CT - Two members of the Rutgers men’s lacrosse team -- goalie Greg Havalchak (Corning, NY) and midfielder Devon Britts (Scottsville, VA) – were selected in Wednesday night’s Major League Lacrosse Draft. Havalchak went to the Baltimore Bayhawks with the 32nd overall pick (fourth round) while the Los Angeles Riptide snatched Britts with the 45th selection (fifth round).

PISCATAWAY, NJ - High school seniors Bill Olin (Elmira, NY) and Hunter Burnard (Binghamton, NY), who will enroll at Rutgers University next fall as members of the men's lacrosse team, were recently honored with national and regional recognition.

May-29-06 Havalchak Garners USILA Honorable Mention All-America Honors
PHILADELPHIA, PA - Senior goalie Greg Havalchak (Corning, NY) wrapped up his illustrious career by being named a United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Honorable Mention All-America. The selections were announced at the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Final Four at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field this weekend.

May-26-06 Olin Named Under Armor Boy’s Lacrosse All-America
BALTIMORE, MD - Bill Olin (Elmira, NY), a senior goalie at Horseheads High School who will be a member of the Rutgers men’s lacrosse team beginning in the fall, has been named to the first-ever Under Armor All-America team and will compete in the Under Armor All-America Lacrosse Classic on June 18 at Towson University.

May-25-06 Havalchak Selected to Play in Annual North/South Classic
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Senior goalie Greg Havalchak (Corning, NY) has been selected to play in the 65th annual STX USILA North/South Classic at Villanova University on Friday, May 26.
