  • PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Oct. 7, 2013) – Rutgers gymnastics partnered with Susan G. Komen in helping to raise awareness about breast cancer. The 20th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure took place at The Six Flags Great Adventure theme park over the weekend. Over 7,000 participants raised funds to help support research for finding a cure for breast cancer. The Rutgers gymnastics team volunteered their time by handing out water to participants as they made their way through the race. The team will continue to raise awareness about breast cancer during their annual “Pink” gymnastics meet in February.
