February-03-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Takes Second in Quad-Meet
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's gymnastics team (8-2) took second out of four teams, defeating Brockport and Yale but falling to the University of Pittsburgh. The Panthers led all teams with a score of 192.950, while the Scarlet Knights scored a 190.500 to take second. Yale placed third with a 184.075, while Brockport finished fourth with a final score of 183.425.

January-26-07 Rutgers Edges North Carolina State
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's gymnastics team (6-1) defeated to North Carolina State (2-3), 191.800-191.575, in a dual-meet. The score was RU's highest of the season and the victory extended RU's streak of dual meet wins to six, dating back to Jan. 12.

January-24-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Defeats Temple
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Rutgers women's gymnastics team (5-1) defeated Temple (0-2), 189.675-185.700, in a dual-meet in Philadelphia. The team score of 189.675 was the second-highest of the season for the Scarlet Knights, and the win extended their winning streak to five-straight meets, dating back to Jan. 12.

January-20-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Defeats James Madison in Home-Opener
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's gymnastics team (4-1) defeated James Madison (0-3) in the team's home-opener, 189.550-183.625. The Scarlet Knights were led in the all-around by Lorena Johnson (Lilburn, Ga.), while Kelly Straka (Fairless Hills, Pa.) posted a meet-high 9.850 on floor, marking the highest single-event score for any Scarlet Knight this season.

January-16-07 Sevarino Named EAGL Rookie of the Week
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers' gymnast Laura Sevarino (Cheshire, Conn.) has been named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Rookie of the Week, the league has announced. It is the first EAGL honor for Sevarino, as well as the first weekly award of the season for the Scarlet Knights.

January-12-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Sweeps Second Meet of the Season
Providence, R.I. – The Rutgers women's gymnastics team (3-1) swept its second meet of the year, defeating the University of New Hampshire (3-1), Yale (0-3) and host-school Rhode Island (1-2). The Scarlet Knights led all teams with a final score of 189.225, while UNH took second (188.9), Rhode Island third (186.525) and Yale fourth (185.325).

January-12-07 Rutgers’ Gymnastics to Host Breast Cancer Fundraiser
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Join the Rutgers women's gymnastics team and the NCAA National Coaches Association in their fight against breast cancer. The month of January has been designated as Breast Cancer Awareness at all women's gymnastics meets across the country.

Durham, N.H. – The Rutgers women's gymnastics team (0-1) narrowly lost its season opener to EAGL rival New Hampshire (1-0), 191.775-190.25. The Scarlet Knights had an impressive showing against the Wildcats, however, with particularly strong performances in the vault.

September-07-06 Gymnastics Announces 2007 Schedule
PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Rutgers women’s gymnastics team has announced its 2007 schedule. The team begins competition Jan. 6 at the University of New Hampshire and will host four meets at the Livingston Rec Center.

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers gymnastics head coach Chrystal Chollet-Norton has announced five newcomers will join her team for the 2006-07 season. Prishani Seebadri (Mt. Laurel, NJ), Laura Sevarino (Cheshire, CT), Amanda Soder (Pequannock, NJ), Danielle Borman (West Hills, NY) and Jacki Mandelbaum (Marlboro, NJ) make-up the talented group of freshmen who will help add depth to the Scarlet Knights' roster.
