April-03-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Qualifies for NCAA Regionals
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers gymnastics team, following a sixth-place finish at Saturday's EAGL Championships, qualified for the Northeast NCAA Regional Competition, the NCAA announced on Monday. The Northeast Regional Championships will be held in Ann Arbor, Mich., at the University of Michigan, on April 14 at 6:00 p.m.

March-30-07 Rutgers Gymnasts Place Sixth at EAGL Championships
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Rutgers gymnastics team took sixth place at the EAGL Championships on Friday night in College Park, Md. The Scarlet Knights posted a team score of 192.600. North Carolina State won the event with a score of 195.475 to edge out West Virginia (195.300).

March-30-07 Three Rutgers Gymnasts Earn EAGL Postseason Honors
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Three Rutgers gymnasts were honored with East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) awards on Thursday evening, presented at the annual EAGL Championship Banquet, held the night before the conference championships on Friday, March 30. Seniors Lorena Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Kelly Straka (Fairless Hills, Pa.) were joined by sophomore Latara Northcutt (Snellville, Ga.) as the Scarlet Knights who were recognized by the EAGL for their standout performances this season.

March-29-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Ready for EAGL Championships
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers gymnastics team (17-6) will travel to the EAGL Championships on Friday, March 3. The Championships will be held on the campus of the University of Maryland at 6:00 p.m. The Scarlet Knights wrapped-up their regular season with a second-place showing at a quad-meet on March 24 to finish with a 17-6 record, marking the third time in five years the team has posted at least 15 wins.

March-24-07 RU Gymnasts Place Second in Final Regular-Season Meet
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Rutgers gymnastics team (17-6) wrapped-up its regular season with a second place finish at a quad-meet in University Park, Pa. The Scarlet Knights posted a team score of 191.550 to defeat New Hampshire (190.325) and Yale (187.475), but fell to the host Nittany Lions, who finished first with their score of 196.325.

March-17-07 Scarlet Knight Gymnasts Take Second at Quad-Meet
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Rutgers gymnastics team (15-5) got its fifteenth win of the season when it posted a score of 190.225 to take second at a quad-meet in Morgantown, West Virginia. The Scarlet Knights defeated both Temple (189.975) and Yale (186.925) but fell to EAGL rival West Virginia, who finished with a score of 195.275.

March-09-07 Scarlet Knights Take Third at Tri-Meet
TOWSON, Md. – The Rutgers gymnastics team (13-4) took third place in an extremely close tri-meet between the Scarlet Knights, Yale, and Towson University. Rutgers finished just one-tenth of a point shy of second place, as the team finished with a final score of 191.675 while Yale scored a 191.775 to take second. Towson won the meet with an overall mark of 193.525.

March-03-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Victorious in Final Home Meet
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers gymnastics team (13-2) posted its highest team score of the season en route to a 192.575-190.350 defeat of Cornell University in the team's final home meet of the season. The seven seniors on Rutgers' 2007 roster were honored in special ceremony prior to the start of the meet.

February-24-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Sweeps Quad Meet
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's gymnastics team swept the University of Rhode Island, Bridgeport, and Ursinus to improve to 12-2 on the season. Rutgers' final score of 191.250 marked the fourth-straight meet Rutgers has scored 190 or above. Ursinus took second (188.300), Rhode Island third (187.800) and Bridgeport fourth (182.950).

February-10-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Defeats Cortland
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Kelly Straka (Fairless Hills, Pa.) won both vault and floor to help lead Rutgers (9-2) to a 190.20-183.525 win over Cortland in a dual-meet in Cortland, N.Y. Rutgers recorded its ninth win of the season and has now posted a team-score of 190 or above in three-straight meets. With the win, RU also improves to 5-0 all-time against the Red Dragons.
