Senior Alexis Gunzelman (Tabernacle, N.J.) of the Rutgers gymnastics team was named Eastern Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week in an announcement by the league office. She recorded a career-best 39.350 all-around score to place first in a tri-meet at George Washington.

February-09-14 Gymnastics Takes First at Tri-Meet in D.C.
Rutgers gymnastics returned to winning ways by recording its highest vault score in program history on the way to a first-place 194.500 mark Sunday at Charles E. Smith Center. William & Mary (194.375) finished second in the tri-meet, followed by George Washington (193.300).

Continuing its three-meet road swing, Rutgers gymnastics is set to compete at George Washington on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. The meet will also include William & Mary.

Competing in the state of Texas for the first time in program history, No. 25 Rutgers gymnastics scored a 193.425 to finish second to Texas Woman’s University (193.950) Saturday at Kitty Magee Arena.

Starting off a three-meet road swing, No. 25 Rutgers gymnastics travels to Denton, Texas, to face Texas Woman’s University on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. ET. The Scarlet Knights will compete in the Pioneers’ annual “Think Pink” meet to raise funds for cancer research.

Junior Emma Hoffman (Union, N.J.) of the No. 25 Rutgers gymnastics team was named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Specialist of the Week in an announcement by the league office. She scored a career-high 9.850 to finish first on uneven bars Friday.

Senior Alexis Gunzelman (Tabernacle, N.J.) put up a season-high 39.175 all-around to help No. 18 Rutgers gymnastics defeat Brown, 193.025-190.625, Friday at the Livingston Recreation Gym. With the victory, the Scarlet Knights improve to 6-0 on the season for the second time in school history.

January-22-14 No. 18 Gymnastics Returns Home For Blackout
Returning home after winning a pair of meets in Ohio last weekend, No. 18 Rutgers gymnastics will host Brown Friday at 6:30 p.m. inside the Livingston Recreation Center. Fans are encouraged to wear black to the meet, with the first 100 entering receiving a black Rutgers t-shirt.
