April-24-07 Northcutt’s Fourth Place Finish Sets School Record
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Sophomore gymnast Latara Northcutt (Snellville, Ga.) set a school record when she tied for fourth place on the balance beam in the individual competition of last weekend's USA Gymnastics Championships. Her overall score of 9.700 was the highest ever posted by an RU gymnast at the competition.

April-19-07 Rutgers Places Sixth at USAG Championships
SEATTLE, Wash. – The Rutgers gymnastics team placed sixth overall at the USAG Championships, failing to qualify for Friday's championship round. The Scarlet Knights, who finished third in the afternoon session of round one, scored a 189.950 as No. 1 seed Towson took first (194.475) in the afternoon session. Towson will face Centenary College, Texas Women and Seattle Pacific in the championship round.

April-17-07 Scarlet Knights Travel to USAG Collegiate Championship
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers gymnastics team will travel to the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships from Thursday, April 19, through Saturday, April 21, on the campus of Seattle Pacific University.

April-14-07 Rutgers Takes Sixth at NCAA Northeast Regionals
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Rutgers gymnastics team placed sixth at the NCAA Northeast Regionals in Ann Arbor, Mich. RU scored a 190.875 to take the number six spot, while the No. 1 seed University of Florida captured first with a score of 197.325.

April-13-07 Rutgers Gymnasts Head to NCAA Northeast Regional
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers gymnastics team will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., on Saturday, April 14, to compete in the NCAA Northeast Regional. The Scarlet Knights qualified for the regional competition after placing sixth at the March 30 EAGL Championships, the team's highest-ever finish at the conference championships. Rutgers finished the 2007 regular season with a 17-9 record, marking the third time in five years RU has posted at least 15 wins.

April-03-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Qualifies for NCAA Regionals
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers gymnastics team, following a sixth-place finish at Saturday's EAGL Championships, qualified for the Northeast NCAA Regional Competition, the NCAA announced on Monday. The Northeast Regional Championships will be held in Ann Arbor, Mich., at the University of Michigan, on April 14 at 6:00 p.m.

March-30-07 Rutgers Gymnasts Place Sixth at EAGL Championships
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Rutgers gymnastics team took sixth place at the EAGL Championships on Friday night in College Park, Md. The Scarlet Knights posted a team score of 192.600. North Carolina State won the event with a score of 195.475 to edge out West Virginia (195.300).

March-30-07 Three Rutgers Gymnasts Earn EAGL Postseason Honors
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Three Rutgers gymnasts were honored with East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) awards on Thursday evening, presented at the annual EAGL Championship Banquet, held the night before the conference championships on Friday, March 30. Seniors Lorena Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Kelly Straka (Fairless Hills, Pa.) were joined by sophomore Latara Northcutt (Snellville, Ga.) as the Scarlet Knights who were recognized by the EAGL for their standout performances this season.

March-29-07 Rutgers Gymnastics Ready for EAGL Championships
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers gymnastics team (17-6) will travel to the EAGL Championships on Friday, March 3. The Championships will be held on the campus of the University of Maryland at 6:00 p.m. The Scarlet Knights wrapped-up their regular season with a second-place showing at a quad-meet on March 24 to finish with a 17-6 record, marking the third time in five years the team has posted at least 15 wins.

March-24-07 RU Gymnasts Place Second in Final Regular-Season Meet
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Rutgers gymnastics team (17-6) wrapped-up its regular season with a second place finish at a quad-meet in University Park, Pa. The Scarlet Knights posted a team score of 191.550 to defeat New Hampshire (190.325) and Yale (187.475), but fell to the host Nittany Lions, who finished first with their score of 196.325.
