The Rutgers gymnastics program took part in the Scarlet Day of Service, held at the Livingston Recreation Center. The team worked with Quilts For Kids, a non-profit organization of volunteers who collect spare fabric and help design a make quilts to help comfort children in hospitals.

The Rutgers women's gymnastics team participated in the Heel to Heal Walk this past Sunday in New Brunswick. The event raised funds for Embrace Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization formerly known as the Institute for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders.

August 19, 2009 Six Rutgers Gymnasts Named Scholastic All-Americans
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Six members of the Rutgers women’s gymnastics team were named Scholastic All-Americans by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W), the group announced. To earn All-America recognition, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.5 grade point average or higher in the past academic year.

May 5, 2009 Rutgers Gymnastics Holds Annual Awards Banquet
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers gymnastics program held its annual awards to recognize the 2009 season Sunday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights honored their four-member senior class of Kristy Behr (Northport, N.Y.), Jessica Haddaway (Baltimore, Md.), Alison Hartwig (Union, N.J.) and Latara Northcutt (Snellville, Ga.) during the event.

April 11, 2009 Johnson Places 12th In The Floor Exercise at USA Gymnastics Collegiate National
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Rutgers freshman Danae Johnson (Silver Spring, Md.) scored a 9.025 to place 12th in the finals of the floor exercise at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals. The three-day meet, held inside the James Moore Field House on the campus of Southern Connecticut State, culminated Saturday with the final rounds of each of the four events.

April 10, 2009 Johnson Earns First Team All-American Honors At USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman Danae Johnson (Silver Spring, Md.) earned First Team All-America honors during competition at the first day at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals Thursday evening. Johnson placed 10th in the floor exercise with a 9.650 to earn a spot in the finals of the event held Saturday.
